About your mentors

BrandCamp is part of the Empower your Brand movement, founded by Jen and Dougal Jackson as a response to clients looking to reconnect with their brand and manage creative material using increasingly user-friendly technology.

Dougal began his career in graphic design 11 years ago - young, foolish and full of misguided enthusiasm to 'educate' clients about 'good design'. Surprisingly, along the way he found himself less interested in chasing design awards and more focused on helping clients to realise their creative vision. 

Jen began her mission from an unlikely start in music. While completing a music degree she began helping bands and musicians promote themselves through video and web. Through working with clients with '6 pack budgets' to high-end international touring ‘rockstars’, Jen has found the balance between message and image to create a truly ‘rockstar’ brand.

Through Jaxzyn, Dougal and Jen consider themselves fortunate to have worked with numerous businesses and government departments across a broad range of industries. An indepth and ever-evolving knowledge of design and marketing technology allows them to approach brands as facilitators, rather than custodians. Their philosophy lies in empowering clients to seize control of their brand.
